In November 2025, deputies were dispatched to a location regarding a Missing Person. The individual was an elderly woman suffering from dementia who left her home unbeknownst to her family. Several deputies arrived in the area to search for her. Community Service Officer (CSO) Oscar Aguero-Yovera also responded to the call and joined the efforts. He conducted a foot search near the community pool, which was obscured by dense foliage, where he discovered the missing woman. Deputies then assisted Oscar in reuniting the woman with her family. Had it not been for his proactive decision to perform a foot search, the missing woman may not have been located. In acknowledgment of his willingness to act without hesitation, compassion, and dedication, Community Service Officer Oscar Aguero- Yovera has been named MCSO’s Employee of the Month for January 2026.
