The Southwest Florida Water Management District has issued a regional Water Shortage Order due to ongoing dry conditions across the region. The order limits lawn watering to one day per week through July 1, 2026, and applies throughout Manatee County, including the City of Bradenton.

These temporary measures are intended to help conserve regional water resources following a period of below-average rainfall and declining water levels across Southwest Florida.

The City of Bradenton’s water system continues to operate normally and is designed with backup systems in place to ensure reliable drinking water service for our community. However, outdoor irrigation accounts for a significant portion of overall water use. Limiting watering during dry conditions helps protect shared water supplies and supports long-term reliability for communities across the region. Watering days are based on the last digit of a property’s address. Residents can view the watering schedule and learn more at www.cityofbradenton.com/irrigation.
