This week, the City of Bradenton hosted a Public Works Community Open House to give residents an opportunity to learn more about the infrastructure projects underway across our city.
These are the projects that strengthen our water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway systems and help protect Bradenton’s future. The open house focused on major projects supported by state and federal grant funding. City engineers and staff were available at project information tables to answer questions, walk residents through the improvements, and share display boards and brochures with additional details.
In total, the projects highlighted represent more than $150 million in grant-funded infrastructure investments. These investments are helping modernize essential systems while reducing the financialburden on local taxpayers. Much of this work takes place underground or behind the scenes, but it plays a critical role in protecting our waterways, improving reliability and supporting our community. One of the most important parts of the event was the opportunity for residents to speak directly with the people responsible for designing and managing these projects. Open conversations like these help ensure our community stays informed and understands how these improvements benefit Bradenton today and in the future. Our commitment to strengthening infrastructure continues every day, and I appreciate the dedicated staff working to move these projects forward and the residents who took the time to attend and learn more.
