PALMETTO, FLA. – The Palmetto Marriott Resort and Spa along with the Bradenton Area Convention Center demonstrated incredible and successful coordination last Thursday during a major event. Located in close proximity to each other, the two venues are connected by a corridor that seamlessly connects the two in a way that permits them to host almost any event and showcases what proper planning between public and private ventures can achieve. Thursday’s private event presented a difficult challenge – three individual events at two locations on a single night: a VIP reception at the hotel, followed by a dinner at the convention center, only to return to the hotel for a VIP after- party. “Through coordinated planning and collaboration across venues and hospitality partners, Manatee County is emerging as a destination capable of hosting multi-venue conferences and high-profile events. The proximity and partnership between the Bradenton Area Convention Center and the Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa allow planners to create dynamic, destination-level experiences that extend beyond a single venue,” said Greg Ciaccio, the General Manager of the Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa. Ciaccio mentioned that since the Palmetto Marriott is an entertainment-drive resort, the property can support receptions, activations, and after-hours programming that complement the broader hotel community, therefore helping drive visitation, room nights, and long-term economic impact across Manatee County.

“From a visitation perspective, the Bradenton Area is the most diverse coastal destination in Florida. The connected capabilities of the Bradenton Area Convention Center and Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa showcase our ability to host as a seamless destination,” said Elliott Falcione, the Executive Director of the Bradenton Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Our teams are coordinated on every detail: hospitality, security, logistics and transportation all while executing an elite experience for attendees. The Convention Center can now be seen as an anchor and a catalyst for large, high-visibility events, fostering public-private partnerships that bring together hospitality partners, public safety, and stakeholders. These tentpole events prove the Bradenton Area has the commitment, professionalism, and infrastructure to compete and excel at hosting premier events on Florida’s West coast, while also delivering meaningful economic impact and a positive visitor experience,” Elliott added.
