This past Saturday was a busy day in Bradenton.

BAM!Fest brought people out to the Riverwalk for a full day of art, music, food, and live performances. At the same time, the Village of the Arts held its annual studio tour, with artists opening their spaces to the public.

The Bradenton Public Market was also underway along Old Main Street, where the City hosted its first used cooking oil collection drop-off, and Keep Manatee Beautiful was on site distributing free native trees to Bradenton residents. Residents who missed the drop-off can bring used cooking oil to the Bradenton Public Market the last Saturday of April and May for free, safe disposal.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and partners who made it all happen.

The arts calendar continues this week with Music in the Park returning Friday, April 3, at the Riverwalk Pavilion. The free concert series runs Fridays through May 1 from 6 to 8 p.m., with local musicians each week. The Village of the Arts will also host its Village in Bloom Art Walk and Market this weekend, with studios, galleries, and pop-up vendors open Friday and Saturday, April 3 and 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
